black powder
Definition:

It is a mixture of pottasium nitrate, charcoal and sulfur. Black powder was widely used until the second half of the 19th century, and then replaced by smokeless powdersmokeless powder. Nowadays, it is used as fireworks ingredient and in muzzle-loadersmuzzle-loader.
